Origin: DO Penedès, Massís del Garraf, Catalonia

Vineyard: Organically farmed single vineyards in the Massís del Garraf and on the Mas Sunyer estate; small plots, hand-harvested, no irrigation, average yield 18–25 hl/ha.

Soils: Very shallow, calcareous loam soils with up to 40% active lime content on dolomite limestone (Triassic/Cretaceous), pH approx. 8

Orientation: Not specified

Climate: Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers, low rainfall and maritime cooling effects from the Mediterranean.

Vinification: Soft pressing without destemming, spontaneous fermentation with natural yeasts of the varieties separately in stainless steel tanks and cement vats at a controlled temperature. Light fining and filtration, sulfur added only at bottling. One year of bottle aging before sale. Vegan.

Maturation: 12 months bottle aging

Alcohol content: 12% vol.

Tasting notes: Golden yellow color with greenish reflections. Ripe lemon, juicy peach, and white blossoms on the nose. Subtle on the palate with a creamy texture, firm acidity, and pleasant mineral saline notes. A delicate finish with refreshing citrus notes.

Food pairing: Ideal with seafood, all types of fish, rice dishes such as risotto and paella, pasta and cheese.
