Production: 1,789 numbered bottles (0.75 l)

Origin: DO Penedès, Massís del Garraf, Catalonia

Vineyard: Single vineyard El Cirerer (1.4 hectares) at an elevation of 260 meters, southwest-facing. 70-year-old bush vines on 41-B rootstock, organically farmed. Soils with marine fossil remains, no irrigation, hand-picking.

Soils: Very shallow, calcareous clay soils on dolomite limestone with fossil inclusions; typical of the karst region of the Massís del Garraf.

Orientation: Southwest

Climate: A hot, dry year with severe water shortages. Lower yields, but very concentrated grapes with high freshness and long storage potential.

Vinification: Spontaneous fermentation for 40 days in 425-liter chestnut barrels. Subsequently, maceration on the lees and 6 months of aging in the same barrels. Following this, the wine ages for 2 years in the bottle. Light clarification and filtration, with sulfur added only at bottling.

Maturation: 6 months in chestnut wood barrels, 24 months bottle aging

Alcohol content: 13.0% vol.

Tasting Note: Golden yellow in the glass. On the nose, delicate aromas of stone fruit (apricot, peach), wild herbs, and delicate notes of almond and honey. On the palate, complex and lively with ripe fruit, mineral depth, good acidity, and a long, fresh finish.

Food pairing: Ideal with grilled fish, vegetables, risotto and semi-hard cheese.
