Grape variety: 100% Godello

Year: 2013

Production: 18,000 bottles

Soils: Slate

Orientation: Southwest

Climate: Mediterranean microclimate with Atlantic influence

Vinification: Static débourbage and spontaneous fermentation with natural yeasts, without temperature control, in used chestnut and French oak barrels (750 liters). Fermentation takes place on the full lees with gentle bâtonnage until complete fermentation. Clarification, aging in stainless steel tanks, and bottling follow.

Maturation: Seven months of aging in stainless steel tanks without yeast, followed by bottle aging.

Alcohol content: 13%

Tasting note: In the glass, the 2013 Escalada displays a rich, amber-gold color with ripe reflections. The nose is complex and sophisticated, with aromas of dried orange peel, honey, chamomile, roasted nuts, and fine brioche. Subtle oxidative notes and a hint of spice underscore the maturity. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, silky, and structured, with perfectly integrated acidity, subtle salinity, and a long, complex finish.

A mature Godello with impressive depth, elegance, and complexity – a prime example of the longevity and expressiveness of this grape variety, crafted with great craftsmanship.
