Grape variety: 100% Albariño

Production: Limited Edition – 6,400 bottles

Origin: DO Pago de Tharsys, Requena – Valencia, Spain

Vineyard: 1-hectare plot in the southern part of the estate at 700 meters above sea level. This historic site features highly calcareous, white albariza ("toba") soils, formed from freshwater sediments over 30 million years ago. Old vines originating in the 1960s, acquired from a Galician vineyard and replanted in 1985.

Soils: White, limestone-rich albariza soils with porous subsoils retain moisture and promote small, highly aromatic berries. Low nutrient availability – ideal for Albariño.

Orientation: South

Climate: Continental climate with strong Mediterranean influences. Very dry, with large temperature differences between day and night. The 2024 vintage was characterized by a mild, dry winter and a warm spring. Ripening was early and healthy, thanks to scattered summer rainfall in June and dry August/September. The harvest took place at night on September 6th to preserve freshness and aromas.

Viticulture: Certified organic. No herbicides, pesticides, or synthetic fertilizers are used. Manual harvest in 10-kg crates, selection in the vineyard. In the cellar within 15 minutes of harvesting.

Vinification: Traditional white winemaking. Fermentation and aging for two months in stainless steel tanks on the fine lees. No oak aging—focus on varietal character and fruit aromas.

Maturation: 2 months on the fine lees in stainless steel tanks

Alcohol content: 13% vol.

Tasting Note: Brilliant lemon yellow with greenish reflections. Elegant floral notes (acacia, elderflower) on the nose, followed by fresh stone fruit, green pear, citrus zest (lemon, grapefruit), and herbs such as sage and savory. Lively on the palate, with clear fruit, fine acidity, and a salty freshness. Creamy texture, good body, and a long, complex finish.

Food pairing: Ideal with white fish (e.g. turbot, sole), seafood, octopus, rice dishes with seafood or vegetable base, as well as Asian cuisine.
