Tasting note: Raíz Crianza 2021 presents itself in the glass in a youthful, intense garnet red with bright brilliance.
The nose reveals elegant and complex aromas of balsamic vinegar, violets, cigar box, and licorice. These are complemented by spicy and toasted notes from the barrel aging, which lend the wine volume, depth, and character. The varietal intensity of the Tempranillo grape is accompanied by fine roasted aromas and a subtle balsamic note.
On the palate, the wine impresses with its freshness and personality—dense but not heavy. Its structure is balanced, with fine spice, elegant tannins, and a harmonious finish. The balance between fruit, spice, and acidity makes it particularly approachable yet complex.
Food pairing: Ideal with grilled meat, roast lamb, braised dishes, or mature hard cheeses. A characterful Ribera del Duero that's versatile and complements any table.
