Algueira Risco 2013 presents an intense ruby red color, which already hints at the depth and complexity of this wine in the glass. Aromas of ripe red and dark berries such as blackberries, currants, and cherries dominate the nose. Subtle mineral notes reminiscent of graphite, as well as balsamic nuances and a hint of spicy freshness, complement the bouquet.

On the palate, the 2013 vintage presents a remarkable balance of concentration and elegance. The tannins are present but finely integrated, while the lively acidity lends the wine freshness and structure. The mineral notes of the gneiss and slate soils characterize the profile and ensure a long, lingering finish. This vintage is powerful yet balanced, with a clear typicity of the Mencía grape.

An outstanding vintage that showcases the Ribeira Sacra terroir in all its glory. Perfect with grilled meats, hearty stews, or aged cheeses. With further aging potential, this wine will gain depth and refinement.
