Wine outside the mainstream. And the people behind it.

Our story begins in Ribeira Sacra. The mother of one of our founders comes from Galicia, and the family spent the long summer holidays in their second home there. His grandfather was a farmer and winemaker and made his wine on the steep slopes of Ribeira Sacra. As a boy, he was allowed to help with the harvest and tread the grapes with his feet. And when his mother was not looking, his grandfather sometimes slipped a drop of wine into his water glass.

The love for this region and its wine has stayed. That is why Galicia and Bierzo stand at the start of uncorkme-now!, two emerging wine regions where we have known many wineries for years. This is where Mencía and Godello grow.

Through recommendations and encounters, more joined: Bobal and sparkling wine from Utiel-Requena, rosé from Bandol, Nebbiolo from Roero, Fendant from Valais. Today our shelves hold wines from Spain, France, Italy and Switzerland, and they keep growing, bottle by bottle.

Wineries

At some point we noticed that wine shops, online stores and restaurants nearly always offer the same wines. On our travels, though, we kept drinking bottles we could not forget, made by winemakers who live for their wines and their terroir.

We did not want to keep these wines to ourselves. So we looked for a way to share them with you, without you having to drive to Galicia yourself. That is how uncorkme-now! began.

We want to show you wines you do not know yet. Grapes like Mencía, Godello or Bobal, regions like Ribeira Sacra or Utiel-Requena, and the stories behind the bottles: stories of tradition, new ideas and a lot of work in the vineyard.

You do not need to be a wine expert for that. Everyone has their own taste, and in the end the wine should please you above all. If you do not know where to start, we are happy to help you choose. Or take a tasting box with six wines and explore at home.

Before a wine joins us, we want to know who makes it. We taste before we buy, and we get to know the winemakers and their wines personally. That is why our range grows step by step, and only what convinces us in the glass makes it in.

Where we have not been yet, we say so. We have tasted Kaléidoscope from Savièse in Valais from a distance so far, and the invitation to their cellar stands.
