Grape variety: 70% Treixadura, supplemented by Godello, Albariño, Loureira, Lado and other indigenous varieties
Production: 1,450 bottles (0.75 L) and 20 magnums (1.5 L)
Origin: DO Ribeiro, single vineyard “O Figueiral” in the Pago de As Viñas (Gomariz)
Vineyard: Historic vineyard with documented evidence dating back to the 13th century, replanted with native grape varieties in 1978. 5,000 vines per hectare. Sustainable, toxin-free cultivation in harmony with nature.
Soils: Clay on the surface, shale underneath
Orientation: Southwest-facing slope with gentle inclination
Climate: 2022 was unusually dry and hot for Galicia. In Gomariz, the high groundwater table ensured a continuous supply of water to the vines, achieving full phenolic ripeness despite extreme conditions. The healthy harvest was the result of precise viticultural work. The vintage delivers wines with excellent body, clarity, and ageing potential.
Vinification: Hand-harvested in 18-kg crates, selection in the vineyard and on the sorting table. Static pre-clarification, spontaneous fermentation in 500-liter French oak barrels. Aging for 10 months on the fine lees with regular batonnage. Bottling on a "flowering day." Vegan.
Maturation: 10 months in barriques on the fine lees with batonnage
Alcohol content: 13.5% vol (labeled)
Tasting Note: Light yellow in the glass. Complex aromas of melon, peach, mandarin orange, fig, and quince, accompanied by delicate floral notes. Expressive flint minerality with depth. On the palate, fresh and honey-like at the same time, with citrus and pear peel aromas. The finish is precise, mineral, and impressively long-lasting.
Food pairing: Ideal with lobster, Galician “caldeirada”, game birds (also stuffed with nuts), baked fish, fine pasta dishes, carpaccio and creamy cheeses.
