The oldest Finca Cortezada we stock, seventeen years after harvest. Golden yellow, with apricot and quince, acacia blossom, wet stone, honey and almond on the nose. Soft on the palate, yet the Treixadura's acidity keeps it alert and the Albariño brings a salty edge to the long finish.
This white wants food with some weight: lobster, grilled fish with butter or an aged hard cheese. Serve at 10 to 12 °C, not colder.

In 1979 Fernando planted his first plot on an overgrown piece of land belonging to his wife Ana's family. Today the vines grow on Roman-era terraces above the Sil, on slopes of up to 85%.

It began in 1979, when Fernando planted his first plot, “Carballo Cobo”, on an overgrown piece of land belonging to his wife Ana's family. Reviving viticulture in such a tough setting was a real risk. Today the family farms around 25 hectares in 86 plots along the Sil and beyond. Algueira is one of the pioneers that brought heroic viticulture back to the Ribeira Sacra.
