Grape variety: 100% Garnacha

Production: very small production

Origin: DO Utiel-Requena, single vineyard “Pico d'Àliga” in Casas de Eufemia (Requena)

Vineyard: 60-year-old bush vines, traditionally and dry-farmed (without irrigation); respectful treatment of the environment and natural resources.

Soils: Sandy on top, clayey from 70 cm depth

Climate: Mediterranean climate with low rainfall (<200 mm/year); 2022 brought hot, dry conditions, balanced by precise management, allowing for healthy, fully ripe grapes.

Vinification: Hand-picked, spontaneous fermentation with natural yeasts, gentle extraction through small remontages, and careful pomace punching. Aging in second- and third-fill barriques to keep the fruit at the forefront.

Maturation: Aging in used barriques (2nd–3rd filling)

Alcohol content: 13.5% vol (labeled)

Tasting Note: Bright, vibrant ruby red. Fresh aromas of cherry and raspberry on the nose, with distinct varietal character. On the palate, juicy, fruity, and stimulating, with subtly integrated wood notes and elegant complexity.

Food pairing: Excellent with grilled vegetables, tapas, roasted poultry, or Mediterranean cuisine with tomatoes and herbs. Serving temperature: 14–16°C. Also suitable as a slightly chilled red wine in summer.
