Grape variety: 60% Bobal, 40% Garnacha

Production: not specified

Origin: DO Utiel-Requena, single vineyard “Malarado” in Casas de Eufemia (Requena)

Vineyard: Two plots: 50-year-old Bobal and 25-year-old Garnacha vines, trained in traditional bush habit and dry-farmed; respectful, nature-oriented care by the family.

Soils: Clay-sand soils

Orientation: not specified

Climate: The year 2023 was characterized by warm springs, hot, dry summers, and low rainfall (<200 mm) – ideal conditions for concentrated, aromatic ripeness and healthy, well-balanced yields.

Vinification: Hand-harvested in 15 kg crates, gentle clarification of the must using cold and gravity. Spontaneous fermentation with natural yeasts, each grape variety vinified separately. The Bobal portion matures partially in second-use French barriques to impart structure and complexity to the wine.

Maturation: Partial barrique aging of the Bobal portion in second-use barrels

Alcohol content: 13% vol (labeled)

Tasting Note: Light ruby pink in the glass. Intense aromas of ripe cherries, strawberries, and rose petals on the nose. Fresh and balanced on the palate, with beautiful volume, subtle wood spice, and a long, fruity finish.

Food pairing: Perfect with Mediterranean starters, rice and pasta dishes, grilled fish, or simply on its own in summer.
