Vineyard: Godello from two vineyards: Viña de Jaime (550 m above sea level) – cooler style, and Viña de Alfredo (650 m above sea level) – more powerful expression. Doña Blanca comes from four individual vineyards with bush vines from 1901–1910, planted in mixed culture with Mencía.

Soils: Clay-loam soils. Viña de Jaime is flat with deep soils, while Viña de Alfredo is situated on a slope (5–10% gradient) with a northeast exposure. The Doña Blanca plots vary in orientation (northeast to southwest) with slopes ranging from 5–10% to over 10%.

Climate: Temperate climate with Atlantic influence, combined with continental fluctuations – ideal conditions for freshness, acidity, and aromatic depth.

Vinification: Manual harvest in small 15 kg crates, careful selection of the grapes. After destemming, gentle pressing in a pneumatic press. Spontaneous, natural fermentation of the two varieties together (co-fermentation) in semi-new barriques (228 l and 500 l) made of French oak and acacia.

Maturation: 12 months aging in the same barrels on the fine lees with regular batonnage

Tasting note: In the glass, the wine appears a clear, bright yellow with golden reflections.

The nose is dominated by fresh aromas of white fruits, citrus, and a hint of stone fruit, accompanied by subtle spicy notes and elegant wood spice. Floral nuances reminiscent of a spring garden emerge in the background.

On the palate, the wine is dense, lively, and precise. Fresh acidity adds tension and length, while maturity and aging lend structure and complexity. A multifaceted white wine with elegance, freshness, and a mineral character.

A characterful white wine that pairs perfectly with fish dishes, seafood, Asian cuisine, goat cheese, or pasta with a light sauce.
