Brancellao is one of the old red varieties of the Ribeira Sacra, and María José Yravedra bottles it on its own here. Medium ruby, with sour cherry, spice and balsamic notes on the nose. Fresh, silky tannins, black cherry, berries and white pepper, juicy acidity and a long finish.
If you are trying Brancellao for the first time, this is the bottle we would suggest. Serve it with game, grilled meat or aged cheese.

María José Yravedra is one of Spain's first women winemakers. With her husband Felipe she brought the old bodega on the Sil back to life in 2010, and since then the wine there has moved by gravity alone.

Ronsel is the wake a boat leaves behind. The bodega sits right at the bottom of the steep slopes of the Sil, near Sacardebois, looking across to the vineyards of Amandi. The vines belong to the D.O. Ribeira Sacra.
