Hundred-year-old Bobal vines, farmed organically, twelve months in French oak. Intense ruby, with lavender, cherry, redcurrant and red plum on the nose, then mocha, toffee and coffee. Red plum on the palate, lively acidity, ripe tannins and a finish of clove and nutmeg.

Vicente García. He founded Pago de Tharsys in Requena in 2002 with his wife Ana Suria, in the D.O. Utiel-Requena in the province of Valencia, and today their daughter Rebeca works with them. The estate started out with 20,000 bottles a year. The vines grow at 700 metres on limestone and clay.
