In the glass and in the cellar

Grape variety: 100% Meunier

Production: Traditional bottle fermentation with more than 2 years of aging on the lees; Extra-Brut

Origin: Monthelon, Chavot-Courcourt and Mancy, Côteaux Sud d'Épernay, Champagne, France

Vineyard: Plots from three municipalities, sustainably managed with a focus on soil life, biodiversity and careful manual labor.

Soils: Limestone and marl soils with chalk influence (argilo-calcaire, craie), which promote freshness, tension and aromatic purity.

Climate: Cool, continental Champagne climate with slow ripening and pronounced freshness; optimal conditions for precise, vibrant Meunier.

Vinification: Gentle pressing of whole grapes; temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel; minimal intervention; followed by more than 2 years of lees aging before disgorgement; Extra-Brut.

Alcohol content: 12% vol.

Tasting note: Golden yellow color with copper highlights and fine, regular perlage. Expressive nose with fresh stone fruit (peach, apricot), peony , and candied lemon . Remarkably fresh, precise, and aromatically clear on the palate, with a salivating, zesty , and elegantly bitter finish.

Food recommendation: Ideal as an elegant aperitif; goes perfectly with fish appetizers, mussels, sushi, light vegetarian dishes or simply on its own as a fresh, mineral start to the evening.

Still unsure?

How long has the Frézier family made Champagne?

Since 1823, when the first Denis Frézier laid the foundations in Monthelon, south of Épernay. In 1935 the family first vinified part of the harvest itself and sold it under its own name. Today Sébastien and his wife Aurore run the house as the seventh generation, on the same plots as their ancestors.
