Algueira Pizarra 2017 displays an intense cherry red color with medium to high density and ruby reflections. Complex aromas of ripe red fruits such as cherries and currants unfold on the nose, accompanied by balsamic notes such as cedarwood, chocolate, and a hint of green coffee. The mineral character of the slate terroir is clearly perceptible and lends the wine a special depth.
On the palate, the 2017 vintage presents a vibrant freshness combined with well-structured, ripe tannins. The texture is dense and harmonious, with aromas of dark chocolate, delicate spices, and a mineral finish reminiscent of the wine's origins. The finish is long and elegant, balancing fruit, spice, and mineral elegance.
