Straw yellow with golden glints; pear and peach, lime blossom, flint, a little honey and dried herbs on the nose. The Godello gives the 2010 body, the Albariño a lemony freshness and some salt, and the finish is long.
Still lively after sixteen years. Serve it at 9 to 12 °C with grilled fish, seafood or aged cheese, and in a larger glass if you have one.

In 1979 Fernando planted his first plot on an overgrown piece of land belonging to his wife Ana's family. Today the vines grow on Roman-era terraces above the Sil, on slopes of up to 85%.

It began in 1979, when Fernando planted his first plot, “Carballo Cobo”, on an overgrown piece of land belonging to his wife Ana's family. Reviving viticulture in such a tough setting was a real risk. Today the family farms around 25 hectares in 86 plots along the Sil and beyond. Algueira is one of the pioneers that brought heroic viticulture back to the Ribeira Sacra.
