Júlia Esteva von Can Ràfols dels Caus mit einer Flasche ihres Weins

Can Ràfols dels Caus in Switzerland

Two evenings with Júlia Esteva

Júlia Esteva is the next generation at Can Ràfols dels Caus. Her father Carlos built up the estate in the Massís del Garraf in the 1970s. At the end of October, Júlia comes to Switzerland to present her wines herself: on 22 October in Zug and on 23 October in Zurich. We will be there both evenings. Come along and get to know her and her wines.

The estate

Can Ràfols dels Caus

Can Ràfols lies in the Massís del Garraf, south-west of Barcelona. Elsewhere the Penedès is flat. Here it turns hilly and rocky. Of the 455 hectares of the estate, only about 50 are planted with vines, the rest is forest, scrub and rock. The estate is known for its white wines from limestone soils and for grape varieties you do not expect in the Penedès, such as Chenin Blanc or Incrocio Manzoni.

Four wines from Júlia

Júlia pours these four on both evenings. If you cannot come, they are a good way to get to know the estate at home.
