Grape varieties: Xarel·lo, Macabeo, Muscat de Frontignac
Production: 23,000 bottles
Soils: The grapes come from the Massís del Garraf in the heart of Penedès – a wild karst landscape southwest of Barcelona. The vines grow on shallow limestone soils with a high active lime content and a clayey structure, which give the wines their characteristic minerality. The Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and cooling sea breezes ensures slow, balanced ripening.
Climate: Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers, low rainfall and the cooling influence of the Mediterranean Sea.
Vinification: After a short maceration period, the individual grape varieties are spontaneously fermented separately with natural yeasts. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, with a portion of the Xarel·lo being aged in chestnut barrels. The wine is then lightly fined and filtered; sulfur is only added during bottling. The wine comes from organically certified cultivation.
Alcohol: 11.5 % Vol.
Tasting notes: Bright straw yellow in the glass. The nose combines aromas of ripe pear, apricot and Mediterranean herbs with delicate floral nuances. On the palate, Terraprima Blanc is structured, fresh and complex. Spicy mountain herbs, precise limestone minerality and a long, juicy finish give it elegance and depth. The cuvée combines freshness, finesse and the unmistakable character of the Garraf terroir.
Food pairing: Ideal with grilled fish, seafood, duck breast, aged cheese or Mediterranean vegetable dishes.
