Algueira Fincas 2017 displays an intense garnet red with violet reflections in the glass. On the nose, it reveals complex aromas of red fruits such as cherries and raspberries, accompanied by balsamic notes such as menthol and fresh mint. The wine also reveals hints of orange blossom and subtle spicy nuances reminiscent of cedarwood and roasted nuts.
On the palate, the 2017 vintage presents remarkable freshness and vibrant acidity. The texture is silky, supported by fine, ripe tannins. Mineral notes, typical of the slate soils, permeate the finish, which is long and lingering, with a delicate, citrus-like freshness.
An elegant and balanced vintage that captures the essence of Atlantic grape varieties. Perfect with game dishes, roasted meats, or aged cheeses. A wine with great aging potential that will continue to gain complexity over the coming years.
