Tasting note:

The Algueira Pizarra 2010 presents a deep ruby red with garnet reflections, reflecting the maturity and elegance of this vintage. Complex aromas of ripe dark berries, black cherries, and plums unfold on the nose, underscored by floral notes, graphite, and delicate roasted aromas. Tobacco, herbs, and a hint of licorice add further depth. The mineral slate note is unmistakable and lends the wine a distinctive earthiness.

On the palate, the 2010 vintage presents silky, well-rounded tannins and a lively acidity that lends the wine freshness and structure. Aromas of wild berries, spices, and subtle smoke blend harmoniously, culminating in a long, mineral-driven finish with hints of cedarwood and Mediterranean herbs.

Uniqueness:

The Algueira Pizarra 2010 is a wine with impressive finesse and great aging potential. Its clear terroir character and artisanal vinification make it an outstanding representative of the Ribeira Sacra.

Recommendation: Serve at 16–18°C. A perfect match for game dishes, mature cheeses, or grilled meats. Also a delight on its own for special occasions. A wine that captures the spirit of the region and masterfully reflects the craftsmanship of the Algueira estate.
