Year: 2023
Origin: DO Utiel-Requena
Grape variety: 100% Bobal from old vines
Aging: 12 months in French oak barrels
Production: Limited Edition
Soils: Calcareous clay and loam soils
Orientation: Southeast-facing plots at 700 m above sea level.
Climate: Mediterranean with continental influence – hot days, cool nights
Vinification: The grapes are hand-picked and fermented at a controlled temperature to preserve the aromatic intensity and freshness of the Bobal grape. The wine is then aged for 12 months in French oak to refine its structure and complexity.
Alcohol content: 13% vol.
Color: Deep ruby red with violet reflections, clear and shiny, with dense tears.
Nose: Expressive aromas of red fruits—cherry, raspberry, and red plum—combined with floral notes of lavender and violet. Subtle hints of mocha, cocoa, sweet spices, and toasted wood add depth and elegance.
Palate: Full-bodied and harmonious with ripe, silky tannins. Fresh acidity and juicy fruit combine to create a balanced, lively mouthfeel. The finish is long, with notes of clove, nutmeg, and delicate roasted aromas.
Serving temperature: 16 – 18 °C, ideally in a Bordeaux glass.
It pairs perfectly with grilled or braised red meat, game, spicy stews, or mature cheeses. It also makes an excellent accompaniment to Mediterranean roasted vegetables, ratatouille, or mushroom risotto.
