Grape variety: 52% Grenache, 48% Syrah

Production: Limited production in hand-picked bottles

Origin: AOP Ventoux, Rhône Valley, from the organically farmed Domaine de la Coquillade

Vineyard: Vines in ecologically managed plots in the Luberon Natural Park (UNESCO Biosphere Reserve), with a focus on sustainability and biodiversity

Soils: Red, sandy and calcareous soils with good drainage and high mineral content – typical of Ventoux

Orientation: Not specifically stated, but typically well-lit locations for optimal ripening

Climate: Mediterranean climate with hot days and cool nights – ideal conditions for structure, ripeness and freshness

Vinification: Late harvest for optimal phenolic ripeness, separate fermentation of the grape varieties in steel tanks and concrete; partial aging in oak barrels for greater complexity

Maturation: Combination of concrete egg and wooden barrel – several months of maturation to harmonize the tannins and develop fine roasted aromas

Alcohol content: Approx. 14.5% vol

Tasting Note: Deep ruby red. Intense aromas of ripe cherries, black berries, pepper, and delicate roasted notes on the nose. Full-bodied on the palate with silky tannins, spicy depth, and a long, balanced finish.

Food recommendation: Excellent with grilled meat, lamb, ratatouille, mature cheese or game dishes – ideal for hearty Mediterranean cuisine
