Vineyard: The Nebbiolo grapes come exclusively from the Colla vineyard in Vezza d'Alba. The vines grow on calcareous soils and are harvested entirely by hand, guaranteeing precise selection and ideal ripeness.
Soils: Calcareous soils – typical for Roero, predestined for elegant, profound Nebbiolo wines.
Orientation: Not specified (classic Roero hillside locations)
Climate: Continental climate with warm days and cool nights; optimal conditions for aromatic precision and fine, ripe tannins.
Vinification: Fermentation in stainless steel tanks at 28°C for 15 days; complete malolactic fermentation in stainless steel; followed by 18 months of aging in Allier barriques (50% new wood, medium toast). Then, bottle aging for further harmonization.
Alcohol content: 14.5% vol.
Tasting note: An enticing bouquet of raspberries , red currants , dried roses , and a delicate vanilla aroma . On the palate, rich, warm, and balanced, with supple tannins and great aromatic elegance. The finish is long and harmonious, reminiscent of red fruits and subtle floral notes.
Food pairing: Ideal with all kinds of meat dishes, international cuisine, game, and medium-aged cheeses. Serving temperature: 18 °C.
