Grape variety: 100% Espadeiro

Year: 2019

Production: Very limited edition of 1,594 bottles (0.75 l)

Origin: DO Rías Baixas

Vineyard: Pergola-trained with 800 vines per hectare at approximately 100 m elevation. Yield: approximately 4,000 kg/ha. Southwest exposure, favored by an Atlantic climate.

Soils: Granite weathering soil (Entisol), sandy-loamy structure

Orientation: Southwest

Climate: Atlantic with continental influences – ideal conditions for slow, even ripening, which supports the aromatic diversity and elegant structure of the Espadeiro grape.

Vinification: Hand-harvested in perforated crates, careful selection on the sorting table. Complete destemming. Spontaneous alcoholic fermentation in open 500-liter barriques with 15 days of skin maceration and two daily "pigeages." Vertical hydraulic pressing. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation. Filtration and clarification with egg white and seawater.

Maturation: 12 months in French oak barrels

Alcohol content: Not specified

Tasting Note: A red wine with great personality. Complex aromas of very ripe fruit, licorice, and intense white flowers (especially lilies) are evident on the nose. Powerful on the palate, with an elegant tannin structure, supported by a lively, delicate acidity. Gentle decanting is recommended for full enjoyment.

Food pairing: Perfect with game dishes, braised roasts, mushroom risotto, mature hard cheeses, or robust vegetarian dishes. An expressive wine for special occasions.
