Algueira Homenaje 2013 impresses with a deep ruby red and bright reflections. The bouquet is intense and complex, with notes of ripe wild berries, plum compote, and delicate spices such as cinnamon and cloves. Added to this are balsamic nuances of cedarwood and fresh tobacco, underscored by a touch of mineral elegance.
On the palate, the 2013 vintage displays exceptional balance and harmony. Silky tannins and lively acidity lend the wine freshness and structure, while the long barrel aging adds complexity and depth. The finish is lingering, with aromas of dark chocolate, leather, and a subtle slate minerality that masterfully reflects its origins.
An exceptional vintage that captures the essence of the Mencía grape and the unique terroir of the Ribeira Sacra. Perfect for special occasions and ideal with braised meats, game, or aged cheeses. With great aging potential, this wine will continue to gain in finesse in the coming years.
